Sea Diamond is a gem among yachts. Built in 1956 by Abeking and Rasmussen in Germany, she is a 90 ft. classic motor sailor.  Her interior is the epitome of elegance at sea: gleaming mahogany, luxurious leather seating, Chippendale dinning chairs with exquisite workmanship throughout.

One would never know that the entire boat had to be completely gutted in 2000 due to a fire in the galley and crew’s quarters. The restoration took almost three years. Everything was redone from stem to stern.

 

 

Ron Fortier, who oversaw this mammoth project at Fairhaven Shipyard, explained that the systems work behind her beauty was a huge undertaking for Sea Diamond. "We used Scott because he is very knowledgeable about systems engineering. There aren’t many who can do what he does in that area — his group has created quite a niche with their expertise and you know the work will be professionally done. As a result we had a very satisfied customer,”
said Mr. Fortier.
